Cider Press (reserve & pay in advance, please!) In Stock Now

Stored between November and august in brick bulding active

The CIDER PRESS is very POPULAR in the fall.

We manage its time very closely and efficiently, so as many folks as possible can use it.

We will appreciate if all users are willing to share contact information, to help facilitate transfer between users and to build a community of "power users".

In 2023, we were able to get the press transferred form one user to another, and it rarely came back to the tool library during October and November.

In 2024, we'd like to ask users to consider scheduling for just 3 days. Most users really only use the press one full day, because once you start, you might as well keep going...

So, please reserve in advance, but please try to be reasonably certain about when your pressing day is. Thanks.

The farther ahead you plan, the more likely you are to get a cider press opportunity. However, it never hurts to ask, even at the last minute. We will do our best to squeeze you in - but your squeeze in chances are better if you can use it Monday through Friday, and if you have your own transportation.

Press weighs about 50 pounds.

Overall length is 48", 39" high and 25" wide.

Baskets are 12" high, 8 1/4" ID, holds 3 gallons of shredded apples, and squeezes 1 to 1 1/2 gallons per squeeze. It has a 5" shredder, 1/4 hp motor, and 6" wheels.

Acme screw shaft is 1".

Please drop by the Tool Library when we're open to make & pay for your Reservation.
